Referendum

If I knew how I'd start from scratch. It's so long since I wrote here that I'm both apologetic and embarrassed, just as one was as a child meeting someone who was owed a lot of thank you letters. If you thought about my blog at all, you thought it was dead and forgotten - right? What has it taken to make me start again? Politics, I'm afraid. Sorry. But we're having a referendum in a couple of weeks, and I have to ask it here, there and everywhere. Why is everyone talking about money? and business, and pettifogging detail? The E U was invented after the end of the Second World War. The century wasn't even half over and the most civilised countries in the world had already joined in two total wars. The purpose of the European Union was to stop a third world war. And it worked!!! Reason enough to keep going, surely. What else matters, beside that?
